About this deal
The Commodore 64GS (C64GS) is the cartridge-based home video game console version of the popular Commodore 64 home computer. It was released in December 1990 by Commodore and is a Europe-only release that proved a considerable commercial failure. As a games console, the C64GS had no keyboard, but featured connectors for two joysticks, a game cartridge slot, TV, and monitor. The expansion port was also rotated 90 degrees to allow vertical insertion of cartridges. Today the C64GS is a rare and sought-after piece of retro gaming history. Out of the approximately 80,000 consoles produced, only 20,000 were sold. In total, just 28 games were produced for the console during its shelf life, most of which were compilations of older titles. This unit is sold as untested, for parts or not working, making it ideal for collectors or hobbyists with the skills to repair or restore vintage hardware.
