About this deal
Monty Python's Flying Circus is a 1990 scrolling arcade game developed by Core Design and published by Virgin Games. It is compatible with the Atari ST 520 and 1040 and supplied here on a 3.5-inch disc in used condition. The game is a side-scrolling blend of arcade adventure, platform and shoot-em-up in which Mr D P Gumby loses his mind and embarks on a quest to retrieve it. The whole thing is drawn in a style inspired by Terry Gilliam's distinctive cartoons, and many short animated sequences unexpectedly interrupt the course of the game. Levels vary considerably: the first sees Gumby with the body of a fish navigating pipes and drains, the second has him on foot through a surreal landscape made of body parts, the third puts his head on a chicken's body for helicopter-style blasting, and the fourth has him leaping platforms inside a giant machine while throwing fish at enemies. A great pick for retro gaming fans and Monty Python enthusiasts alike.
