ZPF is a retro-inspired horizontal shoot 'em up (SHMUP) developed by Mega Cat Studios for the Sega Genesis and Mega Drive. It sits in the tradition of Genesis classics such as the Thunder Force series and Steel Empire, blending intense sci-fi, horror, and fantasy elements into one aggressive horizontal shooter. The game features three playable characters and six or more stages. The Kickstarter campaign funded in just 19 minutes and went on to raise well over $125,000 from more than 1,300 backers. This limited edition Kickstarter variant is a rare collector's piece aimed at retro gaming enthusiasts. It comes complete with all of the limited edition inserts, a poster, and the limited edition cartridge. The cartridge is compatible with both North American Genesis and Mega Drive PAL and JP units.
