Aaahh!!! Real Monsters is a 1995 action-adventure platform game developed by Realtime Associates and published by Viacom New Media for the Sega Mega Drive, based on the popular Nickelodeon animated cartoon series of the same name. In order to graduate from Monster Academy, the three young monsters Ickis, Oblina and Krumm must pass their Monster Midterm Exam by scaring a series of people as instructed by their headmaster, the Gromble. The player works through 25 stages and can switch between all three characters on the fly, each bringing their own unique traits. Ickis can fly for a short time, Oblina can reach high ledges, and Krumm can scan off-screen areas. The main weapon is trash, which can be hurled at enemies, while collecting garbage sacks and fish bones provides stronger triple-trash ammo, and picking up Monster Manuals lets the trio perform a screen-clearing scare move. This is a fun retro title listed in Very Good condition, ideal for Mega Drive collectors and fans of 90s Nickelodeon cartoons.
