About this deal
Xenon 2: Megablast is a shoot 'em up originally developed by The Bitmap Brothers and published in 1989, later converted to the Sega Mega Drive among other platforms. The Mega Drive version was released in February 1992 and published by Virgin Games. It is a vertically scrolling shooter in which the player pilots the Megablaster craft across five levels, ranging in theme from the Cambrian era to futuristic metallic spaceways. The goal is to destroy a series of bombs planted throughout history by the Xenites, the vengeful antagonists of the first game. The game features a wide range of power-ups with which to upgrade your ship , and it is notable for being one of the first video games to feature a soundtrack by a well-known pop musician, in this case Bomb the Bass. A solid pick for retro gaming enthusiasts and collectors of Mega Drive classics.
