The Transcendent C'tan is the generic, unnamed C'tan shard unit, and in the official range it is only available built from the Tesseract Vault or Obelisk kit , making standalone proxy alternatives popular among players. This type of proxy replicates the original model and gets around the issue of the official miniature only being available as part of a much larger, expensive kit, making it a practical option for those who want to field the unit without the significant outlay.
