It follows Ippo Makunouchi, a timid high school student who is saved by a professional boxer and introduced to the world of boxing. From there, Ippo begins his career in boxing, gradually obtaining titles and defeating a range of opponents. Morikawa won the Kodansha Manga Award for the series in 1991. This listing covers volumes 1 to 25 in English and is listed as a single volume edition in new condition. The manga has also been adapted into multiple anime series, with the original television adaptation airing in 2000, followed by further sequels in 2009 and 2013. It is well suited to fans of sports manga, boxing, and action-driven shonen storytelling.
