About this deal
Tiger and Scorcher was a mainly sports-themed weekly comic published by IPC . Scorcher was amalgamated with Tiger in October 1974, creating the Tiger and Scorcher title. The comic is best remembered as the original home of Roy of the Rovers, and also featured numerous other strips including Billy's Boots, Hot Shot Hamish, and Nipper. Issues were published weekly every Monday. These three October 1975 issues sit squarely in what collectors regard as a golden era for British boys' comics. Tiger's most successful sporting stories were generally concerned with football, cars, and wrestling, making it ideal for young sports fans of the era. A rare chance to own a trio of well-preserved issues from a title that has become a nostalgic favourite among British comics collectors.
