About this deal

A bundle of four original weekly British boys comics from March 1976, published by IPC Magazines. Tiger had merged with the football magazine Scorcher in 1974, resulting in Tiger and Scorcher , a title aimed squarely at sporty young readers. The comic was subtitled "The Sport and Adventure Picture Story Weekly" and was a staple of the newsagent shelf throughout the 1970s. Regular strips at the time included Billy's Boots, Nipper, Hot Shot Hamish, Johnny Cougar, and Skid Solo , alongside the hugely popular Roy of the Rovers, following footballer Roy Race and his team Melchester Rovers. These four issues are a genuine piece of 1970s nostalgia, ideal for collectors of vintage British comics or anyone who grew up reading them first time round. Sold in good condition.
