A lot of 10 Marvel Comics issues spanning the Bronze Age of comics (1974-85), centred on Robert E. Howard's legendary sword-and-sorcery hero. John Buscema, sometimes called the Michelangelo of comics, produced over 200 stories featuring Conan the Barbarian for Marvel , and his work is well represented across this run. The highlight is issue 43, titled Tower of Blood, with script by Roy Thomas and pencils by Buscema, in which Red Sonja returns and she and Conan are captured together after being pursued by bounty hunters. Buscema drew Red Sonja in her iconic costume across issues 43, 44, and 48 of the series; the character had made her debut in Conan the Barbarian issues 23 and 24.
