About this deal

This is a Zorro expansion card for big-box Amigas -- the A2000, A3000, and A4000 -- combining Ethernet networking, an IDE storage controller, and a clockport header all on a single board. The design originates from Matthias Heinrichs and is an open-source hardware project. The card ships with Zorro II/III autosensing firmware, meaning it works in both Zorro II and Zorro III machines without modification. The Ethernet interface comes with a SANA-II compatible network driver, giving access to the LAN and internet via popular Amiga TCP/IP stacks such as Miami, Genesis, and Roadshow. The IDE controller supports autoboot via an Oktagon-compatible boot ROM, and works with Kickstart 1.3 through 3.2. The clockport header is compatible with A600/A1200-style clockport expansions such as sound cards and other add-ons. Real-world IDE transfer rates of around 2.8 to 3 MB/s have been recorded on a 68030-equipped machine, making this a practical all-in-one upgrade for Amiga enthusiasts looking to add storage, networking, and expansion capability in a single Zorro slot.
