This is a used secondhand metal Games Workshop miniature of a Vostroyan Firstborn Sergeant Officer for Warhammer 40,000. The Vostroyan Firstborn are a proud Astra Militarum regiment that debuted in 2006 during the Fall of Medusa V campaign. Easily identified by their long tunics, tall fur hats and archaic but exquisitely crafted lasguns, the Vostroyan Firstborn are disciplined soldiers, justifiably proud of their heritage and storied reputation. Within each regiment, the officer corps is composed of those of noble birth, while the common soldiery are drawn from the worker families that make up the bulk of Vostroya's population. Vostroyan soldiers and officers retain a very archaic appearance compared to the rest of the Imperial Guard, and their weapons are passed down from firstborn to firstborn, often worth more than the guardsmen who carry them. This classic metal figure is a sought-after collector's piece that is out of mainstream production, making secondhand examples like this a great find for hobbyists building or expanding a Vostroyan army. These miniatures can still be used in games of Warhammer 40,000 as stand-ins for Cadian Shock Troops and more.
