About this deal
Tokyo Ghoul:re is a sequel to the manga series Tokyo Ghoul, written and illustrated by Sui Ishida. The series is set two years after the end of the original series and introduces a new set of characters. At the CCG, the sole institution that investigates and resolves cases related to ghouls, Haise Sasaki has been assigned a certain mission, while dealing with the unruly four problem children known as the Quinx. The manga was licensed by Viz Media, with the volumes released from October 17, 2017, to April 21, 2020. In Volume 11, CCG Interim Bureau Chief Matsuri Washuu has gone missing, and the power vacuum allows the devious Nimura Furuta to take control. His erratic behaviour concerns some investigators, but the show he puts on for rank-and-file CCG employees wins their support, culminating in the announced public execution of the so-called traitor Haise Sasaki. The volume collects chapters 111 through 122. This is an ideal pick for existing fans of the series who are following the darker political turns of the story, and is published in English for Western readers.
