About this deal

This lot comprises six issues from the Spider-Man series published by Marvel Comics, which ran for 98 issues from 1990 to 1998. The series was originally conceived as a showcase for Todd McFarlane, who was given his own Spider-Man title to pencil, ink, and write, launching with the "Torment" storyline. It proved a massive sales success, with over 2.5 million copies printed. The title ran under the Spider-Man name until issue 75, when it was retitled Peter Parker: Spider-Man on covers, though the legal indicia retained the original title. The six issues in this lot are 9, 17, 19, 25, 29, and 32, and all are described as near mint condition. Near mint means almost perfect and almost as new, with white or off-white pages, tight, flat, and clean with only extremely light wear; at first glance it may appear mint, but a closer inspection may reveal a tiny imperfection. This makes the lot an appealing pick for collectors who want reading or display copies in excellent shape without paying a premium for professionally graded slabs.
