About this deal

The Scorpion is a short-run comic book series published by Atlas/Seaboard Comics, spanning three issues cover-dated February to July 1975. The debut issue was written and drawn by character creator Howard Chaykin, with the second issue featuring inking contributions from Bernie Wrightson, Michael Kaluta and Walt Simonson. The series was part of the short-lived Atlas superhero line launched by former Marvel publisher Martin Goodman. The protagonist for the first two issues is an immortal 1930s adventurer named Moro Frost, while the third and final issue reimagines the Scorpion as a present-day superhero called David Harper. Chaykin later revised his original character concept as Marvel's Dominic Fortune. This complete three-issue run is a sought-after slice of Bronze Age comics history, appealing to collectors of 1970s independent titles and fans of Chaykin's early work. Each issue is presented bagged and boarded for protection.
