About this deal
This is a DIY amplifier board built around the STMicroelectronics TDA7850 IC. The TDA7850 is a Class AB audio power amplifier using MOSFET technology, designed for high-power car radio use. The chip is rated at 4 x 50W into 4-ohm loads, or 4 x 30W at 14.4V with 10% distortion. The 2.1-channel board configuration bridges two of those channels to drive a subwoofer alongside a stereo pair, making it well suited to car installs or desktop DIY hi-fi builds where punchy bass output is wanted. The TDA7850 features Hi-Fi class distortion, low output noise, and a MOSFET output power stage, and requires very few external components thanks to an internally fixed gain of 26 dB with no external compensation needed. Protection circuitry covers reverse power input, short circuit, over-current, and overheating. The module runs from a single 12-14V DC supply, making it straightforward to power from a standard car electrical system or a regulated bench supply for home DIY use.
