About this deal
Slapstick is a four-issue limited series published by Marvel Comics, created by writer Len Kaminski and artist James Fry III, beginning in November 1992. The title character, Steve Harmon, is a fictional superhero who resembles an animated clown and possesses the abilities of a cartoon character, including the capacity to warp reality to match that of an animated cartoon. His transformation grants him superhuman strength, durability, resilience, elasticity, and shapeshifting, as well as the ability to produce objects such as mallets from his body. Slapstick narrowly edged out Carnage when voted Marvel's best new character of 1992, making this run a sought-after piece of early 1990s Marvel history. After the original series, Slapstick went on to appear with the New Warriors and later featured regularly as a recruit in Avengers: The Initiative. This lot contains issues 1, 2, and 3 of the four-issue run in Very Fine condition, ideal for fans of quirky Marvel characters or collectors of the era.
