About this deal
A used collector's bundle centred on the iconic Sinclair ZX Spectrum 48K, first revealed to the public on 23 April 1982. The original ZX Spectrum is remembered for its rubber keyboard, diminutive size and distinctive rainbow motif. It features a Z80A processor running at 3.5 MHz and 48 KB of RAM alongside 16 KB of ROM. For the first time, a computer with high-resolution graphics, colour, sound and 48K RAM was sold for under £200, making it hugely popular with home users and hobbyists throughout the 1980s. This bundle includes the original box with its polystyrene inserts and user guides, the power supply, and two Sinclair interface units. The ZX Interface 1, launched in 1983, includes 8 KB of ROM, an RS-232 serial port, a proprietary local area network interface known as ZX Net, and a port for connecting up to eight ZX Microdrives. The ZX Interface 2 has two joystick ports and a ROM cartridge slot, which offers instant loading times. The complete packaging and documentation make this a particularly appealing find for retro computing collectors.
