About this deal
The Silver Surfer is a Marvel Comics superhero first introduced in 1966 by Jack Kirby and Stan Lee as a character connected to the planet-eating Galactus. After a 1982 one-shot, the character returned in a second major ongoing solo series in 1987, initially written by Steve Englehart. Under Jim Starlin and later Ron Marz, the series gained considerable acclaim, boosted by the Silver Surfer's involvement in Starlin's Infinity Trilogy. This volume ran from 1987 to 1999 for 146 regular issues and nine annuals, making it the longest-running Silver Surfer series. This lot of 27 issues is ideal for fans of Marvel's cosmic storylines and collectors looking to build out a run. The Annual included in this lot features Part 3 of the origin of the High Evolutionary, written by Mark Gruenwald with art by Paris Cullins, across 64 pages. All issues are described as being in like new condition, making this a solid opportunity to acquire a substantial chunk of a classic Marvel series in one purchase.
