Revolution! is a bluffing and area control board game for 3 to 4 players, designed by Philip duBarry and published by Steve Jackson Games in 2009. Set in a fictional colonial port city on the verge of uprising, players represent rival factions secretly bidding resources to sway public support and seize key locations. Each round, players allocate Gold, Blackmail, and Force tokens to compete for territories such as the tavern, harbour, and fortress. The rules can be taught in minutes, and a complete game takes less than an hour. Bidding tokens have different shapes and colours for easy identification, colourful cardstock shields keep bids private and provide a handy rules reference, and brightly coloured wooden blocks let players see at a glance who controls which territories. The Anarchy expansion adds a new board overlay, new bidding boards, and two new sets of player components, allowing play with up to six people. It introduces the grey and black player colours and four new characters: the Warden, Governor, Heretic, and Anarchist. Anarchy also introduces opportunities for negative victory points at the Asylum and Jail, as well as the Garden area, worth 10 points per cube rather than the standard majority scoring. This bundle includes upgraded cubes, making it a particularly complete package for fans of the base game looking to add variety and expand the player count.
