About this deal
This is a varied lot of Japanese Game Boy items spanning several generations of the Pokemon franchise, making it a compelling bundle for collectors and fans. Pokemon Green was released on 27 February 1996 as a Japan-exclusive Game Boy title , and given its limited Japanese exclusivity, boxed copies have become highly sought after by collectors and franchise fans. Alongside it, the original Game Boy titles Red, Blue, and Yellow introduced the Kanto region, the first 151 Pokemon, Gym Leaders, the Elite Four, trading, and the core goal of completing the Pokedex, while Pokemon Yellow stands apart as Pikachu is the only starter, follows the player on the overworld, and can grow to love or hate the player based on their actions. Pokemon Gold, as a second-generation title, expanded the formula with 100 new Pokemon, breeding, held items, shiny Pokemon, and a real-time day/night cycle. Pokemon Emerald is a 2004 role-playing game developed by Game Freak for the Game Boy Advance, first released in Japan and then internationally in 2005. One of its most notable additions is the Battle Frontier, an expanded version of the Battle Tower from Ruby and Sapphire. Rounding out the lot is the Game Boy Camera, released as the Pocket Camera in Japan in 1998, which can shoot grayscale photographs, edit them or create original drawings, and transfer images between units. The Japanese version of the Camera contains Pokemon stamps exclusively, making it a neat thematic match for this collection. When first released, Guinness World Records recognised the Game Boy Camera as the world's smallest digital camera.
