WildSnake is a puzzle video game inspired by Tetris. Snakes of varying colours and lengths fall from the top of the screen and slither to the bottom, and the goal is to clear them out by bringing two of the same colour together. When two snakes of the same colour touch they disappear, and sometimes a flashing WildSnake will appear and destroy every snake of the same colour it touches. The game was designed by Alexey Lysogorov and presented by Alexey Pajitnov , the creator of Tetris, making it a natural fit for fans of that genre. The game includes four backgrounds, seven grid types, and a two-player mode. It is well suited to anyone who enjoys accessible drop-and-match puzzle games with increasing challenge. Both the Sega Mega Drive and Sega Game Gear versions were advertised for release but were cancelled for unknown reasons, and prototypes of both versions have since surfaced -- meaning a physical Mega Drive copy is a genuinely rare and collectable item.
