About this deal
Released in 1982 , the Nintendo Game & Watch Donkey Kong (DK-52) is a vintage LCD handheld and the second entry in the Multi Screen Game & Watch series. It was notably the first video game system to feature a D-pad, a control method that went on to become standard across all future Nintendo hardware. It also holds the distinction of being the first Mario game released on a handheld system. The unit features two LCD screens, with Mario navigating girders and ladders while Donkey Kong hurls barrels down at him from above. There are two difficulty modes, Game A and Game B , and the device also functions as a clock with a built-in alarm. A sought-after piece of gaming history, this is a used example sourced from Japan and listed in Good condition.
