This is a used single-issue comic book from the Neon Genesis Evangelion Special Collector's Edition run published by Viz Comics. The Special Collector's Edition was printed from right to left with original Japanese sound effects, exactly as first published in Japan -- Viz published Evangelion in both a standard left-to-right edition and this Special Collector's Edition that read like the Japanese original. The tankōbon Collector's Edition ran from February 2002 to May 2003 as Volumes 1 to 7. The manga follows Shinji Ikari, a teenage boy recruited by his father Gendo to the shadowy organisation NERV to pilot a giant bio-machine mecha named Evangelion into combat against beings called Angels. Written and drawn by Yoshiyuki Sadamoto, one of the founding members of Studio Gainax and the character designer for the Neon Genesis Evangelion animated series. A solid pick for collectors and fans of the classic anime who want the story in its authentic, unflipped Japanese reading format, listed here in like new condition.
