This is a used replacement part for the Makeblock mBot2 STEM robot. The Quad RGB Sensor uses visible light as fill lights to significantly reduce interference from ambient light, and also provides a colour recognition function. With four individual light sensors on board, it can support a wider range of programming scenarios, with a detection range of 5 to 15 mm from the object being detected. It connects to the mBuild port on the mBot2 Shield or CyberPi via an mBuild cable, and is programmed using Makeblock's mBlock 5 software. The sensor can output values based on the colour or greyscale it detects, and the colour of the fill lights can be switched between green, red, and blue by long-pressing the onboard button. It is ideal for students and educators working on line-following and colour-detection projects, and serves as a direct replacement if the original sensor becomes damaged or worn.
