LEGO Icons 11389 Project Hail Mary is based on Andy Weir's 2021 novel and its film adaptation. The 830-piece set is a microscale replica of the iconic interstellar spacecraft and includes the first-ever Ryan Gosling minifigure alongside a Rocky figure. A large portion of the build uses LEGO Technic elements to create the display stand mechanism, and you can turn a crank to send the crew module into orbit, simulating the centrifugal gravity system from the film. The finished model with stand measures over 30 cm high, 25 cm long and 22 cm wide, making it a striking shelf or desk display. A small side build is also included -- a mini diorama for the two characters -- which can be displayed on its own or alongside the ship. There are no stickers in the set, and the LEGO Builder app lets you zoom, rotate in 3D, track progress and follow step-by-step digital instructions.
