About this deal
The Raspberry Pi Model B+ and later boards feature a row of 2x20 pin headers -- these are the GPIO (general purpose input/output) pins that sit at the heart of hardware hacking projects. This 40-pin flat ribbon cable lets you bridge those pins out to external circuits, breakout boards, or PCBs, and is compatible with the Model A+, B+, Pi 2, Pi 3, Pi 4, and Pi 5. Note that it is not compatible with the original Raspberry Pi Model B or Model A. By programming the Pi, you can use the GPIO pins to twiddle signals high or low, send and receive I2C and SPI data, and access the 3.3V and 5V power rails. The cable is 6 inches long with 40 socket and wire sets, and pin 1 is marked with a white wire to help you orient the connector correctly. It is an ideal low-cost addition for anyone getting started with electronics prototyping on a Raspberry Pi.
