It uses a 6J1 tube in the preamp stage and 6P6P tubes for power amplification , delivering 3 watts per channel. The 6P6P power tubes can be replaced by the widely available 6V6 , giving useful flexibility for tube rolling. The single-ended Class A circuit aims for ultra-low distortion, producing sound described as pure, warm and mellow compared to digital amplifiers.
