About this deal
Conan the Cimmerian was Dark Horse Comics' second ongoing Conan series, launching with a 99-cent issue zero in June 2008 and running through to issue 25, which concluded the series in November 2010. The series incorporates both new material and adaptations of original stories by Robert E. Howard, with no connection to the earlier Marvel Comics run. The creative team behind the series included writer Timothy Truman, artists Tomas Giorello and Richard Corben, and colourist Jose Villarubia. This lot of 17 issues, presented in like-new condition, is a solid haul for fans of classic sword-and-sorcery comics. Issues use an ongoing dialogue between two characters, the Prince and the Wazir, as a framing device, and each issue also contains a biographical strip covering the life of Conan creator Robert E. Howard. The Conan the Cimmerian issues form part of a larger continuous Dark Horse storyline, with numbering on the inner cover indicating each issue's place in the broader sequence.
