The Cambridge Audio Topaz SR10 v2 is a traditional stereo receiver from Cambridge Audio's entry-level Topaz range, combining a stereo amplifier and an FM/AM tuner with a moving magnet phono stage in a single unit. It employs a fully discrete, high-power, bipolar-transistor-based amplifier rated at 85 watts RMS per channel, handling speaker impedances between 4 and 8 ohms. The chassis features a brushed aluminium front panel and rigid metal construction to reduce resonance, and is powered by a custom low-flux toroidal transformer. Connectivity includes a built-in phono stage for moving magnet cartridges, a front-panel 3.5mm input for MP3 players, built-in FM/AM radio with RDS and 30 presets, and four analogue inputs. A and B speaker terminals allow you to connect two pairs of loudspeakers, or bi-wire a single pair, with selectable output options. The included remote handset controls both the amplifier and tuner sections and is also compatible with Cambridge Audio Topaz CD players. This used example comes complete with its remote control.
