About this deal

The Acorn Risc PC is a range of personal computers launched in 1994, replacing the Archimedes series. The SRP20A is a specific StrongARM model specced with a 233MHz CPU, 4MB of RAM, and a 1.7GB hard disc. The 233MHz StrongARM Risc PC was released in 1997, with all variants shipping with the 233MHz StrongARM CPU and RISC OS 3.7. This unit also includes a 486-DX4 100 PC card, an optional second-processor daughter card that slots into the machine alongside the main ARM CPU. The Risc PC supports access to PC business applications running under DOS or Windows via a 486 or 586 processor card, with both operating systems sharing access to memory, drives and CD-ROMs. The PC card contains a 486 processor, with a dedicated ASIC translating the 486-class bus to ARM format and presenting system DRAM in an x86-appropriate memory map. This is a complete boxed set with keyboard, mouse, and manuals, making it a compelling piece of British computing history for collectors and enthusiasts. It is sold for parts or not working.
