About this deal
Kishin Douji Zenki (Demon God Child Zenki) is a fantasy action manga written by Kikuhide Tani and illustrated by Yoshihiro Kuroiwa. It was serialised in Shueisha's Monthly Shonen Jump magazine from December 1992 to September 1996, and its chapters were collected in 12 tankobun volumes. These volumes were published under Shueisha's Jump Comics label. The story follows Chiaki Enno, a normal high-school girl who is the direct descendant of a powerful Bodhisattva named Ozunu Enno; she commands the demon god Zenki and fights against the returning ancient demon Karuma, who was once defeated by her ancestor. This set is ideal for fans of 1990s shonen manga and Japanese supernatural action. Zenki was adapted into a 51-episode anime television series in 1995 by Studio Deen, and also received five video games, making the original manga a sought-after piece of the franchise. The volumes are in Japanese and are the original Jump Comics editions. The manga is noted for being somewhat bloodier and more intense than its anime counterpart, giving readers a fuller, unfiltered version of the series.
