Fantastic Dizzy is a 1991 video game developed by Codemasters and the 8th game released as part of the main Dizzy series. In the game, the evil wizard Zaks casts a spell on the Yolkfolk and kidnaps Dizzy's girlfriend Daisy, and it is up to Dizzy to undo Zaks' doings and rescue her. It is a platform, adventure and puzzle game and a favourite among retro gaming fans. In 2017, GamesRadar ranked it 30th on their list of the best Sega Genesis/Mega Drive games of all time. Gameplay follows the same route as previous Dizzy games, allowing the titular egg to carry up to three items at once to solve various puzzles. A health bar was introduced, meaning enemies could deal damage without killing Dizzy outright. One of the major objectives is to find all 250 magic stars scattered around the map , and the game also features several arcade minigames based on older entries in the series, such as Bubble Dizzy.
