The UNI-T UT89X/UT89XD is a handheld 3 5/6-digit true RMS digital multimeter suited to electricians, engineers and serious hobbyists. It measures up to 1000V DC/AC voltage and up to 20A DC/AC current, along with resistance, capacitance, frequency, diode, hFE, continuity and NCV, allowing it to quickly distinguish between neutral and live wires. Both models feature a 6000-count display. The UT89X variant adds temperature measurement and contact-based live/neutral wire detection via a single test lead, while the UT89XD variant adds an LED test function instead. Temperature measurement on the UT89X spans -40 degrees C to 1000 degrees C , using an included K-type probe. A dual-range NCV function identifies neutral and live wires through light intensity, and the meter also features an audible and visible alarm plus a built-in flashlight and auto backlight for use in dark environments. Safety is rated to CAT II 1000V / CAT III 600V. The rugged double-injection moulded case makes these meters suitable for both professional electricians and hobbyists.
