About this deal
Tokyo Babylon is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by CLAMP, following Subaru Sumeragi, head of a powerful spiritual clan, and his sister Hokuto, as they protect Tokyo from supernatural threats while living alongside the enigmatic Seishiro Sakurazuka. The series was originally serialised in shojo manga magazines between 1990 and 1993 and collected into exactly 7 volumes. All seven volumes were released in English by TOKYOPOP between 2004 and 2005. This complete set is now out of print and sought after by collectors. The story is told through a series of self-contained sub-stories, beginning with a monster-of-the-week approach before gradually building into a continuous narrative with deeper backstory. CLAMP is an all-female Japanese manga artist group led by Nanase Ohkawa, who handles storyline and screenplay, alongside three artists whose roles shift across each series: Mokona, Tsubaki Nekoi, and Satsuki Igarashi. Fans of supernatural drama and other CLAMP titles such as Chobits and Magic Knight Rayearth will find this a compelling and atmospheric read.
