About this deal
The Tektronix Type 547 is a 50 MHz oscilloscope that takes letter-series and 1-series plug-ins. It has two identical timebases and, when used with compatible plug-ins, can display one input with one time scale and another input with a different time scale. Regarded as one of the greatest of the classic Tektronix scopes, the 547 features dual timebases with delayed sweep and a unique alternate function. Dating from 1964, this is a substantial piece of vintage test equipment popular with collectors and restorers of classic electronics. The 547 has a very stable trigger circuit and is considered the model to look for if buying a 500-series instrument. This example powers on and comes with a number of extras as shown in the listing photos, but is sold for parts or repair, making it well suited to an experienced hobbyist or technician looking for a restoration project or a source of spares.
