About this deal
The Tektronix 7704A is a modular oscilloscope from the 7000 series, accepting two vertical and two horizontal plug-ins. It improved on its predecessor with a bandwidth of 200 MHz (or 250 MHz in the bandwidth-optimised option). Rise time is rated at 1.8 ns, with separate intensity adjustments for A and B channels plus the CRT readout and graticule, and a choice of chopped, alternating, addition, or single trace vertical operation. The mainframe was produced from 1972 to 1987. The two 7A26 plug-ins are 200 MHz dual-trace vertical amplifiers, maintaining DC to 200 MHz bandwidth across deflection sensitivities of 5 mV to 5 V/div, with an option to limit bandwidth to 20 MHz to reduce noise in lower-frequency work. The 7B85 is a 400 MHz delaying timebase with digital delay and delta time readout capability, while the 7B80 is a 400 MHz single timebase plug-in without a delay function. This listing is sold as spares or repair, making it well suited to collectors, hobbyists, or technicians looking to source working modules or restore a classic piece of lab instrumentation.
