The Team Group MP33 (model TM8FP6002T0C101) is a 2TB M.2 2280 NVMe SSD that uses a PCIe Gen3 x4 interface, complies with the NVMe 1.3 standard, and is built with 3D NAND flash memory. It delivers sequential read and write speeds of up to 1,800/1,500 MB/s, making it roughly three times faster than a SATA 6Gb/s drive. The drive is powered by a Silicon Motion SM2263XT controller and uses a DRAMless architecture, instead relying on Host Memory Buffer (HMB) technology to cache data on the host system's RAM. The standard M.2 2280 form factor fits directly into M.2 slots on modern Intel and AMD platforms, making it suitable for both desktop and laptop upgrades. The drive supports S.M.A.R.T, TRIM, and garbage collection for long-term efficiency, alongside Wear-Leveling and ECC (Error Correction Code) to improve data reliability. Team Group backs the MP33 with a five-year warranty. Do note that the SSD uses an SLC write cache, so sustained write performance can dip during large sequential transfers.
