The Synology HAT3310-12T is a 3.5" NAS hard drive built for 24/7 operation in small and medium-sized business storage systems, delivering reliable performance across high-uptime and multi-user environments. It uses conventional magnetic recording (CMR) technology, which offers better performance, reliability, and longevity than SMR alternatives. It is purpose-built for Synology systems, allowing seamless firmware updates directly through DSM. Key specs include a SATA III 6 Gb/s interface, 512 MB cache, 7200 rpm spindle speed, and sustained transfer speeds of up to 281 MB/s. The drive has passed 500,000 hours of testing, carries an MTBF rating of 1.2 million hours, a yearly workload rating of 180 TB, and is helium-sealed for improved efficiency.
