Used Synology DiskStation DS918+ 4-bay NAS server with USB 3.0, eSATA and M.2 NVMe support in black. Aimed at small and medium-sized businesses and IT enthusiasts, it is powered by an Intel Celeron quad-core processor running at 2.3GHz, backed by an AES-NI hardware encryption engine. It ships with 4GB of DDR3L RAM, expandable to 8GB via a second memory slot. Two RJ-45 Gigabit Ethernet ports are included, with link aggregation and failover support. The DS918+ supports up to two M.2 NVMe 2280 SSDs, allowing fast SSD cache creation without occupying the main drive bays. Its hardware transcoding engine can handle two simultaneous 4K streams at 30fps, making it well suited as a home media server or office file store. It supports RAID 0, 1, 5, 6 and 10, as well as Synology Hybrid RAID, and the eSATA port allows connection to a Synology expansion unit for greater total capacity.
