About this deal
Syndicate is an isometric real-time tactics and strategy game from Bullfrog Productions, released in 1993 and published by Electronic Arts. Set in a dystopian future in which corporations have replaced governments, it puts the player in control of a corporation vying for global dominance. The game consists of a series of missions in which the player commands a team of cybernetically modified agents, tasked with taking control of territories around the world. Agents must overcome local police forces and rival syndicate operatives, with objectives ranging from assassinations to personnel rescues. Their armaments, cybernetic modifications and behavioural attributes can all be customised. Gameplay involves directing a team of up to four cyborg agents around cities displayed in a fixed-view isometric style, with the player also managing the research and development of new weaponry and cyborg upgrades as the campaign progresses. The Big Box edition is the original large-format retail release, making it a sought-after item for Amiga collectors. The game was ranked as the third best Amiga game of all time by Wirtualna Polska in 2011 , and remains a firm favourite among fans of classic Bullfrog titles such as Populous and Theme Hospital.
