This is a used third-party light gun controller for the PlayStation 1 and PlayStation 2, branded as the Laser Scorpion and built to work with the G-Con standard. The Scorpion is compatible with all light gun games, including Namco titles, for which it uses a special G-Con adapter. It also features a rumble function to simulate the gun recoiling when fired, as well as auto-reload and auto-fire switches. Ideal for fans of classic PlayStation shooting games such as Time Crisis and Point Blank, this controller connects via the standard controller port. The G-Con system uses the cathode ray timing method to determine where the barrel is aimed on screen, and some PS2 G-Con games are also compatible with the original G-Con design. Note that light gun controllers of this type require a CRT television to function correctly.
