Skinbreaker is a fantasy survival epic published by Image Comics/Skybound, written by Robert Kirkman (Invincible, The Walking Dead) and illustrated by David Finch (Batman, New Avengers), with colours by Annalisa Leoni and letters by Rus Wooton. The series is a planned eight-issue run, with issue 1 released on 24 September 2025. Issue 1 sold out at distributor level shortly after launch , making first print copies particularly sought after by collectors. The story is set in a world where a tribe of orc-like creatures live in a forest teeming with strange and dangerous creatures. Their ageing leader, Enor, is losing his grip on the ancient weapon known as Skinbreaker, and wants a reluctant tribesman named Anok to succeed him. As an internal power struggle erupts, an even bigger threat lurks in the darkness beyond their village. The series is well suited to fans of dark fantasy, action-heavy storytelling, and the broader Kirkman/Skybound universe.
