EXO Squad is a Sega Mega Drive action game developed by Novotrade and published by Playmates Interactive Entertainment in 1995. It is based on the animated television series of the same name, and the player takes on the roles of three members of the Able Squad: Lt. J.T. Marsh, Sgt. Rita Torres, and Wolf Bronski. Depending on the character chosen, gameplay alternates between a shooter, a platformer, and a fighting game. In the third-person shooter sequences, players guide a large mech-like E-Frame through the skies, firing at airborne enemies. The Duel Mode lets players fight one another or the computer using a selection of warriors from the ExoSquad and Neosapien forces, and the game supports one or two players. A decent pick for retro collectors and fans of the original TV series, sold here as a cartridge only with no box or manual included.
