About this deal
This is the complete four-issue monthly miniseries released by DC Vertigo from November 2008 to February 2009, produced to mark the 20th anniversary of Neil Gaiman's landmark Sandman series, with adaptation and art by Eisner and Harvey Award-winner P. Craig Russell. The story is tangential to the main Sandman comic book series and can be read without prior knowledge of it, making it an accessible entry point for new readers as well as a rewarding addition for existing fans. The story centres on a love affair between a Buddhist monk and a fox spirit, and the original prose novella won the 1999 Bram Stoker Award and the 2000 Eisner Award. As their love develops, the fox discovers a devilish plot by a group of demons to steal the monk's life. Each issue features distinctive cover art, with contributions from Yuko Shimizu, Mike Mignola, Paul Pope and Joe Kubert. This set is presented in Very Fine/Near Mint condition with all four issues individually bagged and boarded, making it ideal for collectors.
