Rayman Advance is a port of the original Rayman game for the Game Boy Advance, released in 2001 as a launch title for Nintendo's handheld console. The goal is to run, slide and swing through six surreal worlds, facing more than 50 creatures across over 30 levels, ultimately thwarting the plans of the villain Mr. Dark. Players navigate the world, defeat enemies using abilities gained throughout the game, and free captured Electoons, with a boss encounter at the end of each thematic world. Rayman Advance combines a challenging non-linear platforming experience with striking animation. It is a great pick for fans of classic 2D platformers and retro GBA collectors alike. The graphics were brightened and boosted in contrast to compensate for the lack of a backlight on the original Game Boy Advance. Two players can also compete against one another in a head-to-head mode using a link cable. This is a cartridge-only copy, fully working and ready to play.
