The Raspberry Pi 3 Model B+ is the final revision in the Raspberry Pi 3 range. It features a 64-bit quad-core processor running at 1.4GHz, dual-band 2.4GHz and 5GHz wireless LAN, Bluetooth 4.2/BLE, faster Ethernet, and PoE capability via a separate PoE HAT. It also includes an HDMI output, four USB ports, and 0.1-inch-spaced pins providing access to general purpose inputs and outputs (GPIO). Originally created to help teach computer science in schools, the Raspberry Pi has gained popularity for many other uses, and is now used in areas such as industrial automation, robotics, home automation, IoT devices, and hobbyist projects. Wired networking is significantly faster than on previous models, with speeds of at least 300Mbit/s. A microSD card with an operating system is required but not included. The Raspberry Pi 3 Model B+ will remain in production until at least January 2030.
