Released in 1999, the Topps Pokemon TV Animation Edition Series 1 is a vintage non-sport trading card set tied to the original Pokemon animated series. Manufactured by Topps, the set contains 90 cards in total: 76 Pokemon cards, 13 character cards, and a checklist card. The Pokemon featured are iconic Generation 1 names such as Pikachu, Charizard, and Squirtle. Each of the 90 cards also had two foil card versions -- silver and rainbow -- in the main US distributions.
