About this deal
Pit Fighter is a beat-em-up originally developed by Atari Games for arcades in 1990, using digitized live actors captured through a bluescreen process, with on-screen character animation being replays of the actual footage rather than redrawn animation. In Europe, the game was converted to home computer systems including the Atari ST and published by Domark. Players select one of three fighters -- Buzz the wrestler, Ty the kickboxer, or Kato the martial artist -- in intense one-on-one brawls set in an underground tournament. The crowd can interfere by attacking, dropping usable weapons, or pushing a stray player back into the fight, and at the conclusion of each match players are awarded a Knockout Bonus, Brutality Bonus, and a Fight Purse, with every third match being a Grudge Match; the last man standing wins, with the ultimate goal being to dethrone the champion, the Masked Warrior.
