This is a set of six individual volumes from one of the world's most celebrated manga series. One Piece follows the adventures of Monkey D. Luffy and his crew, the Straw Hats, as he searches for the legendary treasure known as the One Piece to become the next King of the Pirates. Written and illustrated by Eiichiro Oda, the manga has been serialised in Shueisha's shonen manga magazine Weekly Shonen Jump since July 1997. It has become not only one of the most popular manga in Japan, but the best-selling manga series of all time. This lot includes volumes 1 to 4, which cover the opening East Blue saga and introduce Luffy and his earliest crewmates, plus volumes 10 and 15 from further into the story. Each volume includes bonus features such as a question-and-answer column by Oda and new cover artwork. In the United Kingdom, the tankōbon volumes were published by Gollancz Manga, starting March 2006, until Viz Media took over after the fourteenth volume. The set is a great way for newcomers to start the series or for collectors to fill gaps in their library, and all six copies are in very good condition.
